India reduces fuel prices

The Indian government has announced a reduction on central excise duty on Petrol by Ind Rs 8 per litre and on Diesel by Ind Rs 6 per litre.

Accordingly, this reduction means the price of petrol will be dropped by Ind. Rs 9.5 and the price of diesel by Ind. Rs 7 per litre.

New price of Petrol will be Ind. Rs. 95.91 a litre and new piece of diesel will be Ind. Rs. 89.67 per litre. Rising fuel prices in India in the past few weeks have led to considerable debate on which government, state or central, should be lowering their taxes to keep prices under control
