Forging the way to remarkable milestones, House of Indi, a leading fashion destination in Sri Lanka and its Founder and Creative Director, Indeevari Yapa Abeywardena have been duly recognized at two of the most prestigious awards ceremonies.

House of Indi clinched Silver award under the Service Sector – SME category at the SLIM Restart Resilience Awards 2020 while its Founder and Creative Director, Indeevari Yapa Abeywardena has been acclaimed as the Outstanding Women Entrepreneur – Small category at the Top 50 Professional and Career Women Awards – Sri Lanka and Maldives 2020, held recently.

House of Indi has been bestowed with this commendation for the formidable resilience shown by the company to stay strong and unscathed amidst the challenges from COVID-19 pandemic. SLIM Restart Resilience Awards 2020 organized by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka was rolled out to provide necessary impetus for the businesses and to revitalize the country’s economy. Restart Resilience Awards 2020 recognized and rewarded the outstanding efforts of organizations including marketing innovations, adaptability and perseverance to overcome the challenges from the pandemic.

Commenting on the accolades, Founder and Creative of House of Indi, Indeevari Yapa Abeywardena said, “Leading a business to success is a tough challenge, and as such we always aspire dedication, expertise and sheer hard work in every aspect of our journey. It is a great honor to receive these prestigious awards and I am extremely proud of my achievement as a woman entrepreneur.”

Adding to the winning streak, Indeevari Yapa Abeywardena emerged as the Outstanding Women Entrepreneur – Small category winning the Gold award at the 10th edition of the Top 50 Professional and Career Women Awards Sri Lanka and Maldives 2020 organized by the Women in Management (WIM) in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC). Top 50 Professional and Career Women Awards – Sri Lanka and Maldives 2020 is an annual awards event held in recognition of the outstanding achievements of salient women who inspired those around them and contributed to the country’s economy while initiating positive change within their communities.
