Axiata Digital Labs partners with BCS Sri Lanka as the Exclusive Innovation Partner for National ICT Awards 2020

Axiata Digital Labs announced today that they have signed a partnership with the local chapter of the UK based Chartered Institute for IT professionals BCS Sri Lanka, to sponsor National ICT Awards (NBQSA) 2020 as the Exclusive Innovation Partner.

As one of Asia’s fastest growing and most innovative software and IT service providers, Axiata Digital Labs is well suited as a sponsor for the long running awards ceremony.

The National ICT Awards (NBQSA) 2020 has run annually since 1998 and recognises the outstanding ICT achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations in Sri Lanka. It will take place on the 9th of October at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.

About BCS and NBQSA

The Sri Lanka Section of the British Computer Society was formed in 1996 and now counts over 5500 members and over 240 CITP professionals. National ICT Awards (NBQSA) was initiated in 1998 by the BCS Sri Lanka Section to benchmark Sri Lankan ICT products with the world’s best. Since inception, the National ICT Awards (NBQSA) has been the only national level event in Sri Lanka of its calibre focused on recognizing innovative and outstanding ICT Products and Organizations, Groups and Individuals for their contributions to the ICT Industry. NBQSA has been supported by the Government of Sri Lanka, BCS and Private Sector Organizations throughout the years. The awards ceremony will see a series of mini events starting from its launch to the Grand Finale and the Awards Ceremony will take place during the latter part of the year.

The competition is open only to Sri Lankan companies, groups and individuals. National ICT Awards (NBQSA) has introduced over 19 product categories to compete in, such as Financial, Industrial, e-Government, Security, Sustainability and Green IT etc., it has also provided the opportunity for University Students to showcase their ICT talent by competing under the Tertiary and Post Graduate Categories.
